About the event
Tuesday January 28th, 2020 from 7 - 10 PM (discussion starts at 8)
This meet-up is for those that identify as women. It is a safe space for those who enjoy intellectual conversation and can handle respectful dialogue (and debate). It's for the Queens who are seeking meaningful, thought provoking discussions, who are confident enough to have their ideas challenged, or are seeking to deep dive into human thought and process. Our discussions and reading center around the following categories; race, religion, gender identity, feminism, womanism, social justice, anti-racist, equity, inclusion, diversity, litterature and education.
This month we will explore poetry by women of color, please come prepared to share one piece each (personal or published) by any female poet of color. Folks should choose a poem that resonates to share with the group. Poems can be read, shaired by a YouTube reading of the poem, printed copy to share, etc..
