About the Event

Friday February 28th, 2020 from 7 - 10 PM (discussion starts at 8)

This meet-up is for those that identify as women. It is a safe space for those who enjoy intellectual conversation and can handle respectful dialogue (and debate). It's for the Queens who are seeking meaningful, thought provoking discussions, who are confident enough to have their ideas challenged, or are seeking to deep dive into human thought and process. Our discussions and reading center around the following categories; race, religion, gender identity, feminism, womanism, social justice, anti-racist, equity, inclusion, diversity, literature and education.

This month we will explore the works of Octavia E. Butler. Please spend some time this month reading one of her many works and come prepared to discuss.

Our discussion will be on the themes that arise from the reading. You do not need to have read the book to participate in the discussion.

Cost: $10

*Snacks will be provided, but you can bring something if you wish.
